Welcome
On behalf of St. Sophia’s community we would like to extend our thanks for your exceptional support. In our endeavor we hope to create an atmosphere to share our rich Hellenic culture and customs with you and our own future generations. While you are here, enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of our wonderful festival where you can eat, have a drink, listen to music, watch the dance performances or try a dance yourself! In Central New York, many of these foods and pastries are only available once a year at our festival. So go ahead and indulge! Take a stroll through our “Greek Village” (which is located inside our church complex) – a variety of gift shops including the Orthodox book store and view the lovely Orthodox icons representing our faith. Stop by the pastry shop to sample some of the famous fresh pastries and top it off with some Greek coffee from the café. Don’t forget to save some time to take a tour of the beautiful Church Sanctuary. Most of all, have fun as we bring a taste of Greece to Central New York! Our thanks to all of you!
Please be sure to visit our Greek Orthodox Children’s exhibit. This display will feature work from the following youth organizations GOYA, JOY, Greek School and St. Timothy’s Camp. Also custom face painting and custom made buttons. All located on the lower level inside church.
